We've lined up a night of critically-acclaimed and award-winning short horror films that will alternatively terrify, sicken, amuse, and haunt you. And this may be your only chance to see them on the big screen. Among the films:

Pop Art


 

Pop Art, written and directed by Amanda Boyle, based on the short story by New York Times bestseller Joe Hill. Winner of the the audience award for narrative short at the Austin Film Festival. Arthur Roth is a lonely kid with big ideas and a gift for attracting abuse. It isn't easy to make friends when you're the only inflatable boy in town. . . . (20 minutes)

Ugly File

 

 

The Ugly File, written by Rick Hautala, directed by Mark Steensland, produced by Chris Sutton and Lisa Knight. based on the short story by Ed Gorman. U.S. Premiere! From the award-winning director of Peekers (watch it now at www.playwithme.tv) comes The Ugly File. Photographer Roy Hubbard makes a living taking pictures of hideously deformed children. Treevenge

 

Treevenge, directed by Jason Eisener and produced by Rob Cotterill. Winner of the audience award at the New York City Horror Film Fest, and the audience award at the Fantasia Film Festival. Clearly, for trees, Christmas isn’t the exciting “peace on earth” that is experienced by most. After being hacked down, and shipped away from their homes, they quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different...this Christmas the trees have had enough. This Christmas, the trees will fight back. (15 minutes)

Side Effect, written and directed by Liz Adams. Winner of Best Screenplay award at the Chicago Horror Film Festival and Best Short: German Independence Award at the Oldenburg Film Festival. Eater, written and directed by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, based on the short story by Peter Crowther. Something....or someone...is stalking a police station in the dead of night. (18 minutes).

 

Abraham's Boys


 

 

Abraham's Boys written and directed by Dorothy Street based on the short story by New York Times bestseller Joe Hill. Storm
  Storm, written by Ron McGillvray, directed by Jeff Radbourne. It may be dark and stormy outside...but sometimes it's what's happening indoors that taps into your deepest fears. (7 minutes)
